ADD-TI, adding and keeping an icon in the system tray

Postby billy » Thu, 05 May 2005, 18:03

Hi, first of all, thank you for this piece of great software. I tried it and I loved it!

I have a question about adding a new icon in the system tray using ADD-TI. In the documentation, it is said:
If the task which created a particular icon is completed, the icon becomes a kind of a ghost which disappears when a mouse pointer passes over the system tray. However, it is possible to add an icon to train in the main nnCron thread (from nncron.ini). Then it would be possible to remove the icon from any task.

I need to create the icon in one task and keep it there until I remove it in another task. So I need to add it in the main nnCron thread as said above. However, I cannot find any reference or example on this in the documentation. I would be grateful if you can show me some!

Thanks a lot!

Just add a lines like this to your nncron.ini to add an icon in a main thread:
Code: Select all
VARIABLE icon_id
S" nnCron: long process started" 32515 0 LoadIconA ADD-TI
icon_id !

Explanation: you can use plain Forth in your nncron.ini.
