why "MONITOR-OFF" failed?

Postby bilinski » Wed, 25 Jul 2007, 05:05

i wrote a task as below:

#( CLASSIC-TASK-#-monitor-off
AsLoggedUser NoLog WatchHotKey: "$\"
Action: MONITOR-OFF
)#

when launched, the monitor goes black, and then turns on immediatly, seems to be awaked by kb or mouse events.

why, and how to work around, thanks.

This is just because the monitor is going off too quickly, before you release the shortcut keys - so the same keys are waking up the monitor back.

Try to add a small pause (say, PAUSE: 500) right before MONITOR-OFF.

thanks, it works,

and, i think, it's more reasonable to define a kb_up event rather than a kb_down event as a shortcut.
