Crashing hard disks

Postby swiss » Thu, 18 Oct 2007, 12:02

Hi there,

i have a task, doing the following as below. Now, my issue is, that every 600ms a file gets written to the disk, which eventually lets the disk crash. ..

FIND has some errorlevels, eg, 0 = found results, 1 = no found results.
If i would be able to access these error levels by nncron, the whole thing would not have to write a file, which it checks every 600ms.

Possible?

Thanks a lot! Matt

Are there drive letters assigned to your USB-disks? If so, you can try to use WatchDrive: <drv_letter> and WatchDriveRemove: <drv_letter> .

no,

the results in file 'usb_status' looks like this:

USB\ROOT_HUB\4&3772D26A&0
USB\ROOT_HUB\4&432A6CA&0
USB\ROOT_HUB\4&74BD3DD&0
USB\ROOT_HUB\4&A3E54DA&0
USB\ROOT_HUB20\4&393BDC79&0

or

empty...

As i see, %ExitCodeProc% just gets me the errorlevel of 'devcon' back, but not for process 'FIND'.

OK, got that,

if i actually create a batch file, the %ExitCodeProc% is actually correct and shows the result of piped command FIND,

Thanks for your prompt help anyway!

here:
test.cmd
#---- content
devcon status PCI* |FIND "PCI"

nncron.tab
START-APPW: test.cmd
MSG: "%ExitCodeProc%"

Cheers,
