Testing for existence of file over network

Postby Frank » Mon, 22 Dec 2008, 09:53

I am trying to schedule the backup of a profile onto another computer on the network. I have tried this doesn't work:

FILE-EXIST: "\\Server\240gb\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe"
IF
START-APPW: D:\MyProgs\SyncExp\SyncEXP.exe -aThunderbird
THEN

I need to make sure the destination computer is running, so I am testing for a file on it.
The file is definitely there but SynEXP.exe never starts.
I think that the logic is correct but I am not sure about addressing files over the network.
Is there anyone who could please help?
Thank you
Frank

make sure you have authorized your task properly, so it has access to the network. I suggest
Code: Select all
AsLoggedUser
LoadProfile

Valery, thank you very much.
Must have been the permissions because your suggestion worked.
Great.
