nnBackup

nnBackup is a small and convenient tool for backing up and
synchronizing your files and folders, creating and processing
file-lists. When backing up you can optionally compress the data using
gz or zip algorithms and start specified applications before and after
main backup process. nnBackup includes special tools for removing
obsolete data from the backup.

Using nnBackup you can choose one of the following backup methods:
  - conventional copying of files and folders 
  - copying your data into a special numbered stack of folders or 
    zip-files with predefined depth 
  - incremental backup (like the one, used in Unix dump utility) 
  - folder synchronization (one- or bidirectional) 

Main nnBackup advantages:
  - small memory fingerprint 
  - fastest possible working speed 
  - customizability: 
  - possibility to set inclusive and exclusive file-name masks 
  - working with file creation/modification/last-access times 
  - customizable processing of empty folders and deleted files 
  - customizable processing of errors when copying files

  - automatic starting of specified external applications before or
    after main backup process, taking into account their exit codes 
  - reading startup parameters from a text file 
  - special test mode (without actual copying/removing files) 
  - optional logging of all of your backup 

nnBackup can be started from command line or from external scheduler
like nnCron (http://www.nncron.ru).

nnBackup is distributed as shareware program: you can download it for
free and evaluate it for 30 days. If you decide to continue using
nnBackup after 30 day evaluation period, you should register it.

System requirements, installing/uninstalling nnBackup
---------------------------------------
  - IBM PC or compatible
  - Intel Pentium processor or higher
  - Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP

To start nnBackup installation, double-click with your left mouse
button on the distribution file. During the installation you will be
asked to select the destination folder.
To uninstall nnBackup, use 'Add or remove programs' applet in the
'Control Panel'. 
nnBackup keeps it's settings in 'backup.ini' file.

Starting and stopping nnBackup
---------------------------------------
To start nnBackup from a command line, enter a command (program's
working mode), state the source and target dirctories (-i è -o), and
after that enter desired options to fine tune the program's behavior:
logging options, compression options, file masks etc.

Here is nnBackup command line syntax:

nnbackup.exe [command] -i <input_dir> -o <output_dir> [options]
